The Metallica Limited Edition is a daring limited edition turntable that pays tribute to one of the most charismatic bands in Heavy Metal: the American Metallica. As always at Pro-Ject , the new model houses a unique concentration of conceptual and technical solutions, with the aim of controlling resonances that could cloud the natural reproduction of music and optimizing the quality/price ratio. Thus, the chassis, finished in shiny metal, replicates the Metallica symbol, giving the new turntable its unmistakable appearance, to which we must add an 8'6" "S" arm with removable SME cartridge holder and a Pro-Ject pickup cartridge Pro-Ject Pick it S2 C preset at the factory. For its part, the platter is a high-mass, resonance-free design made of glass that ensures an extraordinarily stable rotation speed, while making it easier for the user to see the “subplatter” and the structure that supports it. In this regard, it is important to highlight that the aforementioned “subplatter” is made, like the pulley that moves the traction belt, in aluminum via very high precision diamond machining, adding additional mass to the entire plate and traction system. and consequently increasing the absorption of noise and unwanted resonances.
