This versatile compact two-way monitor and three speakers – one of them passive – for wall mounting is a newly designed design that is part of a series that adopts the values that inspired its celebrated predecessor (the Olympica), incorporating into the time a spectacular amount of last-minute technological developments.
Thus, the panels used in the Olympica Nova Wall are made with eight layers of bent and pressed wood that provide extreme rigidity to the enclosure, inside which carefully placed structural ribs are used as reinforcement to reduce vibration and handle the entire the acoustic power generated by the movement of the speakers.
The front panel is made from hand-finished natural wood to enhance the entire enclosure, and genuine leather covering has also been applied around the tweeter and mid/bass speakers. Regarding the electroacoustic technology used, the Olympica Nova Wall mounts a silk dome tweeter with DAD ("Damped Apex Dome') technology from the Italian brand accompanied by an active mid/bass speaker derived from the one used in the collection Homage Tradition and another identical but passive one to extend the bass response without compromising placement flexibility.
It should be noted that the active 'midwoofer' has a cone that benefits from a sophisticated sandwich structure in which two sheets of cellulose pulp flank a core of state-of-the-art syntactic foam. The management of this set of loudspeakers is entrusted to a frequency divider filter based on Sonus Faber 's exclusive "Paracross Topology", which allows the sensitivity to radio frequency interference to be substantially reduced, improving the response to transients and reducing the background noise.
