Maintaining an aesthetic and build quality unique among products in its class and equipped with technical refinements found in much more expensive products, the new Devialet retains the appeal and charm of the other Phantom models, but with substantially more compact dimensions that make it more portable and discreet. Even so, this does not prevent the Reactor from exhibiting unusual power for a product in its class, as evidenced by the 600 watts of peak power it is capable of in its Reactor 600 version or the even more impressive 900 watts of peak power of the Reactor 900. Like the other Phantom models, the Reactor is microprocessor-managed, features Internet connectivity and benefits from the most advanced version of the development that has made Devialet an icon of high-end audio: "ADH Intelligence', now ADH3, which combines the refinement of Class A analogue amplification with the power of its Class D 'digital' counterpart. In addition, the new version of the French brand's famous SAM Processing, called SAM2, thanks to an exclusive algorithm and the power of the signal processing platform of Devialet, optimises the synergy between amplifier and loudspeakers by managing the intimate operating parameters of both systems. In terms of loudspeaker equipment, the Reactor is fitted with a wide-bandpass aluminium-dome midrange/treble transducer and two woofers, also with aluminium diaphragms. A key detail is that both woofers are mounted in a double injection-moulded composite enclosure, consisting of an inner layer of glass-fibre reinforced polycarbonate and a polished ABS outer skin.
